Balrath House

The brief for this house was to design a new home for a young family that included an open plan kitchen, dining and living, which opened onto a large patio area. The front of the house is south facing, so providing privacy in the patio space from the more public entrance on the same façade was achieved using a two storey section out to the front. The dramatic double height space in the entrance hall features a steel spined stairs with glass balustrades and timber treads.
